Project Description
John Pellegrini, Professor of Biology, and Alexandra Kennedy, student researcher, received a $1,968 award from the 3M Small Scale Grant program to measure the physiological and psychological effects that a Mini Rex Rabbit (an Emotional Support Animal) has on college student stress. As stress increases for students due to high tuition rates, having to work while in school, dealing with academic competition, etc., the value of having these animals may be even more beneficial than initially thought.
