Project Description

Jill Welter, Assistant Professor of Biology, and Miranda Johnson, student researcher, received a $2,000 award from the 3M Small Scale Grant program to determine if biological processes in soil respond differently to snow cover in different locations along a topographic gradient and to determine how soil processes change in relation to the presence of snow cover and may therefore be expected to change in the future as a result of climate change.
