Project Description

Jill Welter, Assistant Professor of Biology, and Carrie Booth, student researcher, received a $2,000 award from the 3M Small Scale Grant program to determine which factors (lake size, water temperature, nutrient content, local air temperature, plankton biomass, and/or urban versus rural location) most strongly contribute to the oxygen content of local lakes, and therefore make them most susceptible to anoxia.
