Project Description
Dr. Susan Bosher, Professor of English, is awarded $2,515 by the APDC Grant Program to explore social identity and investment in academic language development in students of immigrant/refugee background. Poststructuralist theories of language and identity view identity as fluid, diverse, dynamic, and often contradictory, and language as the primary means by which one’s identity in relation to others, or subjectivity, is constructed.
