Project Description

Anupama Pasricha, Associate Professor of Apparel, Merchandising, and Design, was awarded a $7,500 Arts & Humanities Creative Projects grant to conduct a creative exploration of value-driven design to create apparel using sustainable fabrics. The material chosen for this design research reflects a strong sense of commitment to environmental and social responsibility, and the designer is viewed as an agent of change. The goal is to create a fashion-forward yet classic line of 4-5 ensembles focused on sustainability. This line will be an expression of creativity and inspiration for students, designers, design researchers, and professionals.
