Project Description

Kaye Smith, Assistant Professor of Math & Physics, and Jolene Johnson, Assistant Professor of Physics, received a $2,400 Curriculum Development Award to develop and teach a brand new upper level physics course: Mechanics for Physicists and Engineers. This is a 4 credit lab science course that includes 3 hours of classroom instruction and 2 additional hours of lab/problem solving instruction per week. This course is not only new to St. Kate’s but a new concept overall, therefore it will require a significant time investment by both instructors as well as new lab equipment.
