Abstract

Dr. Fay Biles served as president of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) from 1980 to 1981. She was recipient of the R. Tait McKenzie Award in 1986.

This project is an oral history of American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance retired leaders: Alliance presidents and national award recipients. This interview is with Dr. Fay Biles on April 20, 1989, in Boston, Massachusetts. Interviewers are Sharon Van Oteghen, Professor of Health and Sport Sciences at University of Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee, and Allys Swanson, Associate Professor of Physical Education at the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota.
