The Community Work and Learning’s Career Ready Internships

Project Description
St. Kate's Ready program funding request is to create and support meaningful, community-based leadership positions accessible to our students and nonprofit community partner organizations. Given that so many of St. Kate’s undergraduate students have financial barriers to participation in unpaid internship experiences, and that a number of our nonprofit community partners are unable to fund internships, the Career Ready program provides the necessary wages to bridge this gap. St. Kate's is striving to keep the Career Ready program fully operational as it transition away from prior avenues of support, and our hope is that WCA Foundation will help us bridge the gap as we work toward identifying avenues for sustainable funding over the long term.
