Project Description

St. Catherine University’s Henrietta Schmoll School of Health (HSSH) has been awarded a GHR Legacy III grant, totaling $5,000,000 over five years. This grant aims to prepare all HSSH students to leave the University with the “St. Kate Stamp” and enter the workforce with a demonstrated foundational knowledge of the social determinants of health, cultural fluency, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. To achieve these aims, the Legacy team will create an intersectionality of 1) a reimagined HSSH, 2) the creation of a new and scalable clinical education model, and 3) a university-wide Inclusive Excellence initiative. Changing structures and practices will create inclusive cultures that fully immerse St. Kate’s students in deep and impactful learning, preparing them for the next evolution of care.
