Project Description
Christine Luna-Munger and Deb Organ, Professional Faculty of Theology, received a $600,000 grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. to develop a Theology Institute for High School Youth. Encuentro: Saint Catherine Theology Institute will provide sacred and inclusive spaces to foster such dialogue and encounter among young women. The Institute will engage youth and mentor teams from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, and over the four-year grant period, will educate and enliven a total of 140 rising high school sophomore and junior young women, along with up to 10 mentors from local schools and parishes, all of whom will be equipped to serve as theologically formed leaders in their communities.
