Project Description

Dr. Williams is a professor in the Sociology Department and is awarded $3132 to conduct the Black Identities and Movements in Germany. This project explores an under-researched and marginal group and movement in the study of race, ethnicity, and immigration—Black Germans. It uses interviews and participant observation to study the variations and construction of this identity in Germany.
