Project Description
John Schmitt, Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, and Kristen Gerlach, Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, received a $6,150 Faculty Research & Scholarly Activities Grant. The project will work to determine the feasibility of utilizing existing clinical measurements of hip strength, core endurance, and biomechanical control; to document levels of pain and disability; to determine whether patients with patellar instability display hip weakness, decreased core endurance, and reduced biomechanical control compared to age and sex-matched control subjects.
