Project Description

Jyothi Gupta, Professor in the Physical Therapy Doctorate program, received a $3,645 Faculty Research & Scholarly Activities Grant to conduct a study aimed at understanding the values, motivations and benefits of volunteering among African American women in rural Mississippi. The results will be used to develop a leadership and empowerment curriculum for adolescents in the community to promote civic engagement through volunteering.
