Abstract

This presentation is on a research paper about the nature/nurture effect and how it relates to the characters Harry Potter and Tom Riddle from the Harry Potter series. Family history, relationships with peers, behaviors that were reinforced or punished, temperament and personality, and secure attachment are all addressed in terms of how they affected the psychological development of the two characters. These psychological factors' contribution to the literary themes of love and free will are also addressed.
