Women's Art Institute: Research through Paint
Through collaboration and research with Patricia Olson during the Summer Scholars program of 2012, I created a series of three paintings that reflected my understanding of art and women. These oil paintings included two family portraits, "Hugh" and "Rachael", and a bigger more abstract piece titled "Matador."
Thus, in presenting the bigger artwork, "Matador", at this symposium I would be conveying my own studies and research I achieved not . For not only did I paint, I helped gather and combine information on the Women's Art Institute while immersing myself in the curriculum the program itself gave.
