La Sociedad Interamericana de Psicologia: History and Contributions
La Sociedad Interamericana de Psicologia (Inter-American Society of Psychology) was founded in 1951 to be a truly inclusive society of psychology. Societal and historical events leading up to and after the creation of the SIP are discussed. Over the past 60 plus years, the society has evolved into a society that mirrors imperfectly what the original members created. This difference is discussed as well as acknowledgment of the many contributions that the SIP has made.
